Christmas Day

Santa loaded Owen up with lots of new toys!! Santa was smart not to wrap Owen's gifts, but next year I think Santa will be even smarter and will have everything put together and out of the box! Owen woke up around 8 am Christmas morning. We fed him breakfast while Mommy & Daddy got showered and ready for the super busy day.After breakfast Owen ran into the family room and noticed that Santa had came and brought him some new toys.
Owen played with everything as Mommy & Daddy frantically tried to get everything unpackaged!! We left our house and headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's house. Owen tried to give all of Uncle Todd's Santa presents to Grandma, Grandpa, & Ma. At least he was in the giving mood and not the taking mood!!

Owen was not too into unwrapping presants, but was all into getting them out of the packaging to start playing with them. After Grandma & Grandpa's we headed to Grammie & Papa's (formerly known as Captain) to do Christmas with them. It wasn't the same since Uncle Jamy wasn't there, but we managed to get everything opened and put away in time for the rest of the family to show up. We stayed there until 4, headed home for an hour so Owen could get some type of nap. We went back to Grandma & Grandpa's to do Christmas with the Lacks' at 5:30. After dinner, more gift opening (once again Owen was not into opening), a little game of Dirty Santa, we headed home. Owen went to bed, and Mommy & Daddy finally exchanged their gifts. Yes, everyone else knew about the 17 boxes Troy had hid in one big box for me, except for me. It's always fun with us on Christmas!!! The following evening, Owen opened his gifts from Mommy & Daddy!! It was a long and busy day, but we wouldn't trade it for the world!! :)

Elmo LIVE!

We decided to take Owen to see Elmo Live instead of getting him a bunch of toys he doesn't need. The show was at 10:30 am on Saturday 12/20. We were a little worried that Owen would be a little too young and wouldn't stay in his seat for the whole show....boy were we wrong!!

He did not move during most of the show..and when he was moving, he was just standing on the ground in front of us dancing! We were so glad that he did so well, especially once we realized that the show went until 12:30 and there was a 15 minute intermission!!!

Of course Owen was asleep within 10 minutes of putting him in the car.

1st Christmas Present of 2008

Owen opened his first Christmas present from Ramsey on Monday.

Ramsey was so thoughtful and gave Owen a reindeer (or Deer as Owen calls it)pez, and PLAYDOH!! ; ). Owen carries his "deer" around with him until he runs out of candy...then he hands it to Mommy...who then hides it!! : ) We went ahead and let Owen test out the playdoh while Mommy was fixing dinner. The first piece went straight to the mouth...but then he caught on that it was a toy, not food. He did test us every now and then and put it up to his mouth...laugh as we jumped, and then put it down!! Owen is very lucky to have such a great friend like Ramsey!!



(By the way...Ramsey...would you like fingerpaints for your birthday? I hear they look great on little baby sisters?) : )

Who needs presents when you can have a box?

Owen's new thing....boxes!! He gets soo excited when we come home and there's a new box at the door. We rush to open it...and empty it, so Owen can play with his new toy!! It's a shame that Santa wasn't told about the boxes...he and the elves could have saved a lot this year!! : )

Our little Chef!!

It looks like Owen is taking after his Uncle Jamy who is a chef in Charleston, SC. He loves to help out in the kitchen. Better watch out...pretty soon he'll be a better cook than his Mommy! : )

Owen's Big Boy Seat

We went to Babies r Us last night to get Owen a potty...and of course left there with so much more. We decided to get Owen a "big boy" seat for the kitchen table and of course had to try it out that night. Owen did awesome...he was a little confused when we didn't pull out the high chair...but as soon as he saw Subway...he went to town. He ended up liking his seat so much that he ate the whole Subway kids sub (or maybe he was just hungry). Our little baby is growing up soo fast!!



We did get the potty...but that of course is still in the box...
