Tomorrow is the big day!!

I had my 38 wk check up at 38 wks 4 days and well, I wasn't expecting the outcome!! The past three apointments the Doctor wouldn't even discuss inducement...just said I wasn't ready yet. Well this time I went in only wanting him to give me an end date...the latest point he would let me go.

Well...it's tomorrow 10/4/10!! I was between 1-2 centimeters and 50% effaced and he said that my body was ready for inducement. I was shocked!! I've been here before...but I'm still nervous. I just hope the Little Miss is ready to come into this world, and Mr. O is ready to be a big brother!!

To my O-Man~
I know you will be the best big brother in the world. You constantly tell me how you are going to share things with your sister, and teach her everything you know. I know it will be a tough adjustment going from an only child to a big brother, but I know you can do it. You're heart is filled w/love and I know you will truly love being a big brother. Your little sister will look up and admire you, and will drive you crazy trying to be just like you (trust me....I've been there done that). I also know that you will protect your little sister, and will not let anything bad happen to her. You will always be the little boy of my dreams and my baby!!

To the Little Miss~
I can't wait to finally meet you!! I wonder every day if you will have big bright blue eyes like your brother & cousin, and if you will be a blonde, or a brunette. I hope you are as even tempered as your brother, and adjust well to our crazy lives!! I am blessed to be given a chance to be a mother of both a boy and a girl. I may even let you think about dance and cheerleading!! : ) I've anticipated this day for a long time now, and tomorrow cannot come soon enough. I look forward to many years of shopping bonding experiences, joint mani & pedis..and once you turn 3...I'm sure all this will end as I will not be the cool mom anymore!! : )

To Troy~
You are the best father, husband, and friend. I know you are nervous about a little girl, but I think deep down you are just as excited. She will be wrapped around your finger in a matter of hours....and we will learn how to text, scare the boys away, etc.! I look forward to this journey with you and can't wait to discuss all the great movies that play at 3am that we have missed the past 3 years. Here's to sleepless nights and discussions about poop!! I love you!!

In a matter of hours....we will be a family of 4....and I couldn't be any happier. We are very blessed!

Nursery Photos

Finally....the nursery is DONE!!! I still need to organize the armoire...but it's behind closed doors....so I can deal!! : ) I need to get O a new hamper and move his into Brynnleigh's room. I wanted a green one for her....and well O's doesn't match is new room...so I might as well buy him one and let her use his. Of course I can't find anything that I like for him....they either don't have tops, or are too adult or baby looking. Why can't they just make the same hamper in primary colors?? I'd be happy!!! Then again, I haven't really looked that hard. We'll make it work somehow!

So...here you go....

Ignore the gift bags in the corner by the armoire....I need to move those to the other room. I LOVE our Brynnleigh decal...special thanks to Homesweetwalls on Etsy for making this for me....it's perfect!!!

The Best Baby Gift!!

Ever wonder what is the best thing to get an expectant parent? It's not the fun cute stuff, or even the cheap stuff....but it makes life so much easier for the parents to be....especially first time parents to be.

DIAPERS & WIPES of course!!!

We were very fortunate to have been given lots of diapers & wipes and a few packs I've picked up on super sale. We may be able to make it the first 6 months without haveing to buy diapers and wipes. I have more wipes in the linen closet & O's closet, just didn't think it was worth moving at this point.

We only have 3 packs of Newborn diapers, but at 10 diapers a day, it will last us about 10 days and we will get some at the hospital too. O was 7lbs 1 oz and was not in newborns very long. We were able to bump him up once we ran out, so I plan to do that with Miss Thang too. If she's tiny, I'll go pick up some newborns if necessary.

We have size newborn to size 3's...with the most being size 1's.

We were lucky w/Owen too....I can't remember how old he was before we had to go buy diapers. W/a newborn....especially during flu & RSV season, it's sooo nice to have a nice stock of diapers, wipes, and formula (or breastmilk)....one less thing to have to worry about!!

So whenever in doubt....buy diapers (w/gift receipt if you don't know what brand they plan to use) and wipes....and for all you preggos out there....if you know what brand you want to use...register for it. It helps to know your preference!!!

Mr. Independent

Trying to pack for vacation w/a little one is not always the easiest task. We thought this year, would be a little easier since O is older. Well it was, as long as I knew where he was that is. Thursday night we all got salads from Ukrops/Martins and while we were running around trying to get everything downstairs so Troy could start packing the car, I put them in the refrigerator.

All of a suddon, I heard Owen holloring that he needed help. Of course Troy was outside, so I waddled downstairs (I knew it wasn't an emergency w/how he was yelling luckily) to find this...

O was stuck in the refrigerator trying to get his fruit salad!! Of course being the wonderful Mom that I am, I didn't help him right away....I ran and got the camera, took some pictures, and almost peed in my pants laughing.
Troy missed the whole thing by about 2 minutes....so I'm glad I have the pictures to prove it!! : )

Purex 3n1 Laundry Sheets

So....does anyone know if these are any good??? I got some free this week at CVS (my cult store as Troy likes to call it) and am thinking about taking them to the beach for our laundry. I, however don't want to take them, and they suck, and then I have to go by super expensive laundry detergent. It would kinda defeat the whole purpose!!! I do have cheap Tide that I got at Rite Aid that I was going to take, but these sheets would just be so much easier to pack and bring home what's left. The sheets will do 20 lds, and the Tide 32....which I should not be doing THAT much laundry while we are there. I'm thinking at max...7-8 lds for towels, IF I wash them everyday (which will not happen....we'll have enough to go two days) and then probably 4-6lds regular clothes....if that. I'll probably only do 4 lds, plus the towels...so the sheets would just be sooo much easier.

I can always re-wash the clothes when we get home if the sheets aren't the best in the world....but I DON"T want to be wearing dirty clothes at the beach....especially at 33 wks pregnant!!

Movie Junkie

I think we've created a movie junkie!!! O wants to watch movies all day every day and we have to turn the house into a "movie theater" by turning off ALL the lights and popping popcorn. Normally once the movie starts he stops eating his popcorn and doesn't move!!!

So far his movie list consists of Free Willy, The Wizard of Oz (thinks cousin P for adding this classic), Toy Story (any of them), and the newest obsession - The Mighty Ducks!!!

I'm just glad that his movies are all movies that we don't mind watching!!!
Here's O once he's stopped w/the popcorn and is enjoying the movie (and posing for the camera a tad!!

Thank you!!

I just wanted to say a special THANK YOU to everyone how has offered us their hand me down clothes. We are soo blessed to have such great friends and family!! Little Miss will be super stylish in her new clothes that are basically brand new!!! She will be sure to return the favor and pass her clothes down !!!

I can't wait to play dress up w/the Little Miss and I can only HOPE that she's as cute in them as her friends were!!!

Thank you LR/KU, TL/ML/ML, JP/SP, PBM/SM, LP/AP/RP/MP
