Wordless Wednesday - Why We Have Crazy Kids

I've always wondered why our kids always seemed to be wild, crazy, and energetic.  Then I realized that the apple....well it doesn't fall too far from the tree...

And I can't even say that these pictures were taken away from the kids because O took every single picture by himself...I guess he got tired of us always taking his picture.  He even directed us....this one, he told us to sleep.

And this next one....yep, it's all me 100% unassisted....I probably have 409538457 pictures of me this same exact way.

They may be a bit out of focus - but for being 6 years old and 3 hours past his bedtime, I think O did a pretty good job!

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs - 9/29

I love these posts....and I know these will be the ones that I will go back and read again and again as my kids grow up!  I may even have to pull some of these out at graduations and weddings! ; )

Here are our Top 5's from this week (and maybe one from last week that I didn't get posted!)

5. - Brynnleigh shortens the names of EVERYTHING (maybe because she has such a long name, who knows)....but she has renamed her jacket to jack so every morning....I got my Jack Mama, put my Jack on!  And even better....her belly button....is her butt!  Yep, if you say where's your butt Brynnleigh, she lifts up her shirt and points to her button...."dere it is"

4. - We were driving home Wednesday night and B got excited when we passed McDonald's - "I wan nuggets, and fwies, and a MILKSHAKE!", O looked directly at her and responded "No Brynnleigh, Tonight I'M cooking dinner, and we are having pizza"  So B responds " I eat PIZZA"  (And yes, O cooked it - he makes the whole family english muffin pizzas every Wednesday)

3. - Owen saw the invitation to Brynnleigh's birthday party at my parent's house and thought that she did not invite him since he had not gotten an invitation himself....I had to show him his "invitation" when we got home and he was so excited and ran to Brynnleigh and thanked her for inviting him to her party! 

2. - Brynnleigh is not in love with school - so every time we talk about going to school, she responds "Missy come back" which means she finally realizes that Missy (my mom) will come back to pick her up, she's not left there forever!

1. - Owen had his school pictures Friday morning...we tested out his outfit Thursday night and I told him he looked like a Stud Muffin....so he was running around the house beaming "I'm a muffin I'm a muffin!"  Even better, B now calls him Stud Muffin, "night night Stud Muffin Owen" and my husband calls him Dr. Stud Muffin.....I can only imagine his conversations in school that day!

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs - 9/8/12

Here we go....I've decided that my kids are just crazy...because about 10 times a day I think "I should write this down, this will be perfect for my Top 5 Laughs"....picking just 5 is definitely tough!  As always, I'm linking up with The Mommyhood Chronicles.

5. Troy has started playing Song Pop on his phone...every time the kids hear it, they want to start a dance party...they get so mad when he answers the question and the song goes off so we normally have to put the TV on the music channel so the kids can dance.  B always says "I dance I dance" whenever she hears music!

4. Owen just started school this week....his bus picks him up at 8am on the dot...he starts asking at 6:45 am (and sometimes earlier) if he can go ahead and go to his bus stop.  (I'm so glad that he loves school)

3. Brynnleigh likes to sing, and loves to have a microphone....well her microphone...is a "snot sucker" luckily we never used it!

2. O was walking home from the school bus with his little girlfriend across the street...when she went to say bye she said "I love you Owen"...O looked directly at her and said "I know"

1.  We got an American Girl Doll - Itty Babies catalog in the mail (why I'm not sure) and I handed it to Brynnleigh....she opened it up and said "Oh my GOODNESS.....BABIES!!!"  Yep, I'm in trouble!

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs - 8/25

Once again I'm doing this from my phone. Our Internet at the beach was horrible but we were having so much it didn't really matter.

5. We took B to play putt putt a few times this week. She would run over every obstacle and place her ball in the hole. It was so cute.

4. B is in love with sunglasses. She's asleep now rocking them out!

3. Mom was saying bye to my brother and his family and B really wanted her to "hold you". When my brother picked B up to hug her she hugged him then somehow ended up with Missy (my mom). She looked at me and laughed and said "Mama I got Missy, I got Missy to hold you!". She was so proud of herself.

2. Troy was channel surfing when O hollered out "Stop Dad, I want to watch big people ping pong". It was tennis!

1. 30 minutes away from the beach O had to potty bad. Of course we were in the middle of no where trying to find a place to stop. He hollers out "that's good over there the bushes are already dead"

Saturday's Top 5 Laugh's 8/11/12

I have been trying to get back to these posts and something always seems to get in my way.  This post is one of my favorites to do, I really want to remember the crazy things my kids and husband do...it's too easy to forget!

5. Owen has been in awe of the Olympics...he watches it all day every day.  His favorite has been gymnastics...before it aired on TV he was all about me signing him up to take lessons.  Then a few days later (after seeing on TV) he told me he didn't want to take gymnastics anymore.  Why....his response "Momma, I just can not flip and jump with ALL of THOSE PEOPLE watching me"  I'm still trying to explain to him that he won't have as big of a crowd as the Olympians!

4. We had the Olympics on and they were showing boxing, B starts hollering at the screen "Piderman piderman" yep, she thought the red boxer was spiderman!

3. Owen was playing with a new little girlfriend for the first time, when it was time for her to leave they hugged bye, and he looked at her and very seriously said "you're still my new best friend right?"

2. Brynnleigh is infatuated with Cinderella "Rella" as she calls every Princess....I've started painting her toenails (the only way I can trim her toenails) and she calls them "Rella toes"...every time she is sock less, she points to her toes "Rella toes Mommy, I got Rella Toes!"

1. A while back Troy & I were at Busch Gardens, near the end of the day we were sitting down eating and there was this crazy squirrel...well a whole table of teenage girls were also watch this squirrel.  As he walked away they were laughing at him and one said "Oh, he's so cute!".  Troy looked directly at the table of girls, pretended to blush and responded "Awe thanks!"  I about died laughing...the girls kinda laughed and left (I think they weren't sure if he was serious or not) and Troy looked at me and said "That's so going on the blog isn't it!"

5. While standing in line for the Easter bunny I was talking to the nice lady in front of me.  She told me how she's a substitute teacher & hoping to get a full time job in my county - she then asked how old my kids were - so I said 5 yrs & 18 months.  I asked about her baby - who was 6 months.  So I responded, oh is he an October baby...what day was he born?  She looked at me like I was crazy, but told me the day....(16th) so I responded, yeah she (Brynnleigh) was born October 4th.  Then just as serious as could be, she responded "Oh so she is like 1 year plus 6 months?"  Please please, don't let this lady teach at O's school...especially math.

4. O told me that he was going to marry his friend RG...then I heard him say to himself "well RG doesn't like touching (she hates it when O hugs or tickles her) a few quiet seconds pass, "Mom...can we get married without kissing...we should just hug...and no rings either".  (How in the world does he know all that happens at a wedding?)

3.Brynnleigh is learning how to count (you should see the looks we get when she starts) and it's soo cute.  I got a bit of it on video the other day...but if you say one, she says "choo", "twee", then goes back to "choo", and then one...then starts over again.  I'm working with her now trying to get to four...she's totally happy with her one, choo, twee!

2.We took the kids to the amusement park this week, and while I took B on a ride while waiting for the boys....everyone thought I was crazy letting this little itty bitty girl ride on the ride....until they heard her laughing the entire time and screaming "weeeee"...yep, she's going to be my little dare devil

1. O's new saying when you ask him to do something simple "Oh that is just Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey" - don't ask, I have no clue where it came from.

Our top 5's are actually for the last two weeks...

5 - On the way home every evening, I try to talk w/O to find out how his day was and try to keep him awake on our 20 minute drive home - I've started asking him what he had for lunch....and his reply " Cheese and Mandaise sandwich, I have that every day and I told you this yesterday"  I guess I need to think of new questions to ask him.

4 - O got 2 new fish awhile back...B loves to watch them..the other night before bed, she looked at them and said "Night night shishies!"

3 - We had 2 birthday parties which overlapped 30 minutes (luckily they were at same place) and I was trying to explain to O that he would need to decide if he wanted to leave one early or go to one late...he looked at me and very seriously said "I won't need to decide Momma, I'll let them know when we get there, and they will hold Ramsey's party until I'm ready!"  (Maybe I shouldn't have emphasized to him he needs to let people know what he wants in life!)

2 - B is in love with animal sounds - if you ask her what a cow says, she replies "MOOOOOOOOOOOO", a duck is "qack qack", bird is "teet teet", Pig is super super cute, she gets all worked up trying to oink and just breathes funny, and a horse is her laughing...but the best one...is when you ask her what Brynnleigh says, and she starts blowing kisses!  I've been trying to get a video, I'll def. post once I get it.

1 - I overheard O talking to himself the other day...here is his conversation "I have the same number of toes as I do fingers...I wonder what they are called?  I'll just call them the same (While pointing to toes), thumb toe, pointer finger tow, I don't know toe, I don't know toe, and pinky toe"

5. O has his goodbye routine that we have to do at every goodbye...I have to write this down teach my grandbabies one day!  Of course every few days O adds a new piece, but for now it's
    Hug, Kiss, "Roar", Boo, High Five, thumbs up (touch thumbs), pound (and blow it up), tickle tickle (yes you tickle), clap, honk (squeeze your nose w/both hands), peek-a-boo, "aah" ("Home Alone Face"), pinch pinch (fake pinch), and then blow (it was raspberries, but momma can't blow raspberries)...I promise this doesn't take 10 minutes

4. Brynnleigh has now started O's goodbye routine!

3.Recently, while riding in the car, I've noticed that Owen and Brynnleigh will start holding hands, it is precious!  I'm still trying to get a picture of it.

2.I had a Tupperware party on Sunday and asked O if he wanted to come with me.  His reply once he found out it would be all "ladies" at my party.... " it's okay Momma...we (him & Daddy) are going to have a man party while you are gone...only one girl is allowed...and that's Gracie (the little girl across the street, who he fights w/like they are married already).  Call her Momma and let her know she's invited to the man party!"

1. The other morning I decided to try Brynnleigh's new dress....well, after we struggled to get it on, I realized it had bloomers attached to it....oops! (FYI - I never had this issue w/O!).  Don't worry....it didn't phase her...she kept "go going!"

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs (Blog Hop)

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now, just never followed through with it.  Now I am...because well every time something funny happens....I think, I should totally put that in my Top 5 post!  I also know that I will enjoy looking back on these once the kids are grown.

5. O likes to go to the coliseum to see the Arena racing - he calls is the "Car Lo Seum"  I guess since he sees "cars" there, that's how you pronounce it!

4. The Little Einsteins were coming on - B started running around the house screaming "eyetine eyetine"...it was sooo cute!

3. When B wants to see something...she asks to see it....in her own words "Sheee it?" over and over again!

2. I was wearing a brand new pair of pants on Monday - at the end of the day I realized that my pants were sticking to me and could not figure out why.  A few hours later, I decided to "check" it out....yeah you know those little plastic bags that hold the extra buttons?  Totally still attached to inside of pants, and stuck to my skin!

1. While riding in the car :
Owen - "Momma...remember that time I lost my tooth and the Tooth Fairy didn't come?"
Me - "No Owen, what tooth did you lose?"
Owen - "My sweet tooth Momma....but don't worry, I got a new sweet tooth!"

I know there were some others (especially w/my crazy kids) but I didn't write them down.  Hopefully this week coming up I'll do a better job at remembering!!
